Today's Chico Enterprise-Record has a good article about the efforts of the city and organizations including CHAT to move more folks from homelessness and shelters into hotel rooms via Project Roomkey and into permanent affordable housing. Unfortunately the funding for this statewide project is scheduled to end at this month, but state partners are hoping to extend funding for another month.
