You might be a fan of CHAT already, but are you aware of EVERYTHING this organization is doing to provide truly affordable housing to very low income citizens? With currently seven strict housing programs (plus a food and a warehouse program), plus the coming Everhart Village project, CHAT seeks to address specific needs with specific solutions, understanding that no "one size fits all". Currently over 200 people are being housed who would be homeless otherwise (but that number doesn't take into account those folks who have been helped and moved on! ).
We encourage you to watch this video, EVEN if you think you know CHAT. We can almost guarantee you will be surprised. This is what a few determined and extremely compassionate citizens can achieve when some cities with multi-million dollar budgets don't seem able, or willing to figure out any real long-term solutions.
