REST Proposal goes to a vote before the Butte County Board of Supervisors March 8th

Your support is requested for the final hurdle for the Butte County Behavioral Health REST proposal! The Butte County Board of Supervisors will discuss and vote on the proposal at the March 8th county supervisors' meeting. This is the final vote needed for the proposal to be come enacted, which we believe is a very worthwhile project. The REST proposal will involve BCBH staff going to where homeless folks are in Chico who may have mental illnesses, evaluating them, and if appropriate, helping move them into Everhart Village or other similar projects. They'll also provide additional clinical support for helping those folks after they've moved into Everhart Village. We were thrilled to hear that the first request for support with the BCBH Advisory Board resulted in the most number of positive responses they'd ever had for a proposal! We're asking you to express your support one more time for it to become real.

You can express your support for the REST proposal to the Butte County Board of Supervisors in any of the five ways they've provided, but you only need to do one of them:

1) Leave a voicemail at 530-552-2303

2) Mail a letter, to 25 County Center Drive, Suite 200, ATTN: Clerk of the board, Oroville CA 95965

5) Email clerkoftheboard@buttecounty.net - the subject should read “Public Comment for Item Number ..."

Options #3, 4, & 5 will require the item number from the meeting agenda, which is item 4.02 on page 3 of the agenda. THANK YOU for being engaged in this proposal!
